Charlene Boteilho George, 65, of Waimea died July 9 at Hale Ho’ola Hamakua. Born in Makawao, Maui, she was a registered nurse for Queens Hospital. Memorial service to be held 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Mana Christian Ohana Church in Kamuela. Survived by husband, Nolan B. George of Waimea, Hawaii; sons, Makana George of Makawao, Maui, and Beaumont (Lisa) George of Oahu; daughters, Jennfer Fernandez George and Pohaikealoha of Oahu, and Caroline Geroge of Kamuela; grandsons, Sean George of Oahu, Roman George and Willie Cleghorn of Maui; sister, Jacelyne (Carl) Schwarm of San Diego; and brothers, Elroy Boteilho of Colorado, Leland Boteilho and Beau Boteilho of Makawao, Maui. Timothy Vance Epperly, 64, of Pahoa died Friday at his residence. Born in Orange, Calif., he was a contractor and a veteran of the U.S. Army. Private services. Fujiko “Betty” Yamada, 92, of Ewa Beach, Oahu died July 18 at Kapiolani Medical Center at Pali Momi. Born in Mountain View, she was a retired Hilton Hawaiian Village housekeeper. Visitation at 4 p.m. Sunday at Hosoi Garden Mortuary; 5 p.m. funeral service. Inurnment at 11 a.m. Monday at Hawaiian Memorial Park. Aloha attire. Tomiko Kusano Kubo, 94, of Hilo died July 22 at Life Care Center of Hilo. Born in Kau, she was a retired bookkeeper, homemaker and member of Honpa Hongwanji Hilo Betsuin. Services held. No flowers and no koden. Survived by sons, Raymond K. Kubo of California and Maxwell K. Kubo of Honolulu, and numerous nieces and nephews.
